Gage & Heliotrope Pocket Park Project (RPOSD Land Acquisition & OGALS Specified Grant, Per Capita, Urban Grant, American Rescue Plan Act)
Expanding green space and beautifying the corner of Gage and Heliotrope. This compact .26 acre pocket park will serve a serene, walkthrough green space and will be designed for low maintenance sustainability and quiet connection to nature.
Amenities
: Drought tolerant and native planters strategically placed natural elements for informal seating, and bird and pollinator friendly zones.
Impact
: Provides recreational access to residents within a 10-minute walk.

: This park will offer a natural, inviting escape in an urban residential setting. Acting as the perfect walk through to observe nature.
Pritchard Field Park Project (Prop 68 & Federal Community Project Funding)
Complete modernization of park space and facilities in one of Bell's most park deficient neighborhoods
Upgrades Include
:
New playgrounds, shaded seating, walking path, drought-tolerant landscaping, fitness equipment stations, dog park, picnic shelters for rental.
Impact
: Will serve over 1,200 children monthly, creating park space and opportunities for fitness and leisure.
Fun Fact
: Pritchard Field Park will be home to the first City of Bell Dog Park.
Camp Little Bear Playgrounds Renovation Project (ARPA Funding)
Transformation of outdated playgrounds and surfacing into a safe, inclusive play space.
Features
:
New Pour in place surfacing, and vibrant, nature-themed play structures. This will add to existing features that include picnic shelters, miniature golf putting green, splash pad, youth soccer field and nature atmosphere.
Impact
: Will serve over 1,200 children each month from preschool through middle school youth. The park is neighboring both an elementary school and middle school.
