The Planning Division sent the Draft Housing Element to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) on September 8, 2021 for review and comment. HCD has sixty days (until November 5, 2021) to complete review of the Housing Element. After HCD review, the Housing Element will be revised if necessary and the document will be reviewed at noticed public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council. Staff anticipates that these public hearings will take place in December, 2021 and January, 2022.
