In 2018, the County of Los Angeles passed Measure W, a parcel tax to fund stormwater initiatives that improve water quality, increase water supply, and provide community benefits. Watershed Area Steering Committee (WASC)
There are nine Watershed Area Steering Committees within the Safe, Clean Water Program (SCWP). These committees help ensure the funded projects are fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Program. Committees are comprised of representatives from cities, agencies, and community stakeholders. The City of Bell falls under the Lower Los Angeles River WASC region, one of the nine WASCs in the SCWP.
