Yard Sales

Yard sales/garage sales are allowed throughout the City of Bell with the submission of a yard sale application form(PDF, 694KB) . Permits may be issued once every 3 months, per property, from the date of the last permit issued. (Property refers to single or multiple home(s), or units within the same lot).

The City of Bell is divided into 4 Zones (i.e., Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, & Zone 4) which allow for only 5 yard sale/garage sale permits per week per zone. Prior to the acceptance of an application, staff shall verify if there is availability in the Zone where the property resides. Yard sale/garage sale permits may be obtained for the week of, or for the following week (no longer than 1 week in advance).

New Hours to Obtain a Yardsale Permit

  • Tuesdays: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • Thursdays: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Yard Sale Permit Requirements

  • Application & Fee Payment ($10.00)
  • Proof of Address
  • Government-Issued I.D.
  • Property Owner Authentication (if applicable)
