New Bell District Specific Plan
The Atlantic Avenue Corridor runs north to south, directly through what can be considered the heart of the City of Bell. The Corridor extends along Atlantic Avenue between Randolph Street to the north and E. Florence Ave to the south. This one-mile stretch is one of Bell's main business and commercial corridors, providing residents and local businesses access to important goods and services in addition to bringing revenue into the local economy.
The City of Bell has initiated the preparation of the New Bell District Specific Plan and a related environmental analysis. The Specific Plan will recommend appropriate zoning and development guidelines to permit and guide future commercial and mixed-use (commercial and residential) developments along the Atlantic Avenue Corridor. The Specific Plan aims to develop a shopper- and pedestrian-friendly Corridor with lush landscapes and infrastructure improvements to create a safer and more enjoyable experience.
